X30 Euro Series Castelletto Qualifying

Junior’s: Provisional pole for the event changed several times in the first five minutes, contested eagerly between Chris and Callum Bradshaw. Sub 51secs was achieved very quickly, and both were threatening to go under the 50.5sec mark. Impressive.

Chris took pole with a time of 50.627. Bradshaw was half a tenth behind, with French driver Peletet and Wooldridge completing the top four. The top 10 were covered by just 0.265 seconds and the top 15 covered by 0.569 seconds, a thrown handkerchief could just about have covered the lot! Close racing over the weekend is almost certainly guaranteed.

Chris commented: “I’m very happy with pole and I think looking at the times the plan is to just try and get a gap in the heats as it’s very close! I decided to give myself some space in qualifying which allowed me to set my quick lap early. Callum Bradshaw seems to be my closest rival at the moment but the times speak for themselves, there’s lots of people who can be up there. I’m confident in our race pace, Fusion have done a fantastic job with the kart setup.”
