X30 Junior European Series 2017, half year update for Chris Lulham – Running with Piers Sexton Racing
Chris is the reigning X30 European Series Junior Champion having won the 2016 title.
The season started at Genk in Belgium on 26th March 2017. A minor set back in qualifying left him starting all the heats in 11th place, however Chris was on dominant form throughout the weekend and converted all three heats into three straight wins.
On Sunday there were two finals and Chris won both of them giving him the maximum possible points from the first round. Chris commented ‘ it was my first time at Genk and the track was quite challenging, given so much local opposition I was surprised that I was able to dominate all the races this weekend’
The second race was held at Salbris, France, 21st May 2017. Chris won the first final by 4.2 seconds however a marginal five second penalty saw him classified 5th. In the second final he finished second.
He is standing first in the X30 European Series championship 2017.
